Learn to tend to your C-section scar through gentle, hands-on fascial release, pelvic bowl holds, and body reconnection—in just 5 to 10 minutes a day from the comfort of your bed.

Whether your C-section was last month or ten years ago, scheduled or an emergency, this is your space to soften scar tissue, ease downstream pain, and reconnect with yourself.

So many mothers have experienced a C-section, including myself.

Yet culturally, it is so often brushed off the moment your baby is here.

You’re told how lucky you are that the baby is healthy (and of course, you are grateful). But then you are sent home with a newborn, a major abdominal wound, and left to mostly figure out your recovery on your own.

This surgery is nothing to brush off.

Even if it was planned and calm, your body was cut through multiple layers of tissue, muscle, and fascia. The physical recovery alone is a massive feat—on top of caring for a newborn and likely feeding them with your body.

And often, the long-term impact of that scar isn't addressed at your 6-week checkup.

The Ripple Effect of a Scar

Have you noticed any of these physical symptoms since your C-section?

  • Unexplained aches: New tightness or pain in your lower back, hips, groin, labia, or pelvic floor.

  • Discomfort during intimacy: Pain or pulling sensations during penetrative sex.

  • Scar site changes: Puffiness, a feeling of hardness, numbness, a "shelf" hanging over the scar, or hypersensitivity to touch.

  • The feeling that something is 'off': Tightness that moves around your body, or a sense of disconnection from your lower belly and womb.

Your external skin incision may have healed and look completely fine. But deeper down, scar tissue acts like a big snag in the sweater of your fascia.

When one area is pulled tight and bound down, it tugs on tissue far away from the scar itself—frequently pulling on the lower back, hips, and pelvic bowl and even further reaching to your chest, neck and jaw.

“I can barely find your scar anymore.”

“Thanks so much for offering this. It’s a wonderful offering. I haven’t had a chance to watch the second replay yet, but looking forward to it. My husband was massaging my scar yesterday and he said, ‘I can barely find your scar anymore.’”

The Lived Experience: It’s Not Just Physical

Every mother’s experience of this surgery is different:

  • You may have had a scheduled C-section that felt calm and necessary, but are now dealing with physical stiffness or questioning how your body feels years later.

  • You may have planned a home birth that turned into an emergency hospital transfer (that was my story), leaving behind shock, grief, or feelings of medical trauma.

  • Or you may feel completely at peace with your birth story, but simply want your body to feel comfortable, soft, and connected again.

Wherever you land on that spectrum, your body remembers the incision.

When you learn how to use your own hands to gently release that tension, you start to restore glide to the tissue, ease the pulling on your joints, and reclaim a sense of softness in your body.

“I’m on my third session of the techniques you provided and last night was wonderful. I did it right after my toddler went to sleep—I just laid in bed, did the holds, and entered a really nice meditative state. It felt all euphoric and lovely. 🥰

I honestly have been ignoring this area of my body for a while... not purposely, just busy and not really knowing how to acknowledge it.”

Hi, I’m Heather

I’m a Fascia Alchemy therapist, homesteader, and sister C-section mama.

After my own emergency C-section, I dealt with chronic pain, tension that wrapped around my body, and a lot of unresolved feelings around my birth experience.

It wasn't until I learned how to work with my own fascia—spending just a few minutes a day with gentle, focused holds—that things truly began to shift. The pulling eased, the tissue softened, and I felt at home in my body again.

You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on endless weekly appointments to start feeling better. When you have the tools to tend to your own scar at home, you build a relationship with your body that lasts a lifetime.
